Kindness KS1 PSHE lesson.
A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 2, however, the activities are fully editable and could easily be adapted for both younger (Year 1) or older students (Year 3).
In this lesson, the children will learn about kindness and the impact it has on others. The students will reflect on Kindness Grows by Britta Teckentrup, before completing a series of kindness themed activities linked to the text.
The lesson includes a case study starter, a story with accompanying questions, a ‘kindness grows’ creative activity and a plenary task.

PSHE Lesson, 1 hour, detailed and well differentiated lesson all about Personal Safety in a variety of situations. The lesson focuses on dangerous or risky situations teens may encounter when out and about as well as when they start living independently in the wider world. It includes a detailed PowerPoint, worksheets, differentiated clip tasks with questions as well as literacy focus and debate tasks. It could be used either for KS3 or KS4, but was created with KS4 mostly in mind. Everything is editable. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

Asking for help and advice PSHE lesson
1 hour, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for upper KS2 or lower KS3 all about asking for help and advice on both matters which may seem trivial, but also following gut feelings when you feel someone could be in danger or being hurt. This lesson covers how to seek suitable help and advice online from trusted sites for young people, by calling suitable helplines or by asking appropriate adults
(as specified by the new 2020 PSHE Association Guidelines).

Love and Romance (falling in love and romantic feelings) PSHE / RSE lesson. Created in 2024 to cover both the DfE and PSHE Association’s current guidelines. Everything is editable. engaging and easy to follow, with a variety of activities, from scaffolded written tasks, clip tasks, creative tasks, active tasks, case study analysis and much more. Students will investigate what it feels like to fall in love and have romantic feelings, what exactly is going on in the brain to cause us to feel this way, how it can present problems, make us act differently, and how to handle feelings appropriately. They will examine real life case studies from teenagers who have fallen in love, the problems this has caused them and how they have coped with hurt and rejection as well as happiness. This lesson is aimed at KS3.

An assembly focusing on the dangers of fake news, how we recognise fake news and the importance of being aware of it. The assembly explores the fact that it was Hitler who invented the idea of fake news and then examines how he used it to gain power and control the public, before comparing it to the way politicians use fake news - from Thatcher to Trump. There are then slides which explore how to recognise fake news and what to do if you’re unsure.
The slides shown are just a sample of those included. The whole assembly follows an easy narrative that can be used with no additional prep (although it is also editable should you want to). Best suited for secondary students.

This detailed 21 page PSHE / RSE workbook has been created for the new PSHE / RSE and Health 2020/24 Statutory Guidance and focuses on online safety including online predators and protecting ourselves including our data and personal information online. It contains all of the information needed to learn about the topic in the first few pages, then the rest of the booklet is full of activities to complete.
The booklet is differentiated and great for recording progress in PSHE. It’s easy to print and editable (as it comes in a portrait-version ready to print PowerPoint as well as a PDF version) - so you can always amend it for your students. This could be left as cover (as appropriate to the class and cover teacher) as there’s nothing explicit on the relationships side of things and all of the terminology is carefully explained. No internet access needed.

A fully-resourced lesson which serves as an introduction to social justice. Students will explore the concept of social justice, its link to human rights and why it’s needed, before examining recent campaigns and the progress being made by the social justice movement. They will also explore objections to what some call ‘social justice warriors’ and whether social justice is backed up by religious ideas, by analysing quotes - the lesson has been created for RE, but would be useful as a Citizenship / interesting Drop Down Day session too.
A number of religions and religious quotes will be examined throughout the lesson, with the most detailed focus on Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Suitable for KS3 / KS4 and editable, so easy to adapt.

General Election 2024- The Labour Party. A lesson all about who the Labour Party are, their values, their history, their leader, Keir Starmer, and their current policies. The lesson also introduces the concept of socialism.
The lesson is written from an extremely neutral and factual standpoint and a similar lesson covering the Conservative Party is to follow. This is perfect to cover two Citizenship lessons or a week of Tutor Time in the run up to the 2024 General Election.
